Thousands of demonstrators gathered in the center of Dallas on Sunday to demonstrate against the immigration policies of President Donald Trump during the 2025 MB march.
Why do it matter
“Mega Marcha 2025” comes nearly 19 years after the 2006 march, which was one of the largest immigration protests in the history of Texas with an estimated half a million participants.
According to Domingo Garcia, an organizer of both the 2006 and 2025 marches, the original event was “a turning point in political history Latin” “that collected all ethnic groups, and that the coalition has been active on a new generation of leaders.”

What do you know
The demonstration began in the United States of Latin Citizen, in the Cathedral of Guadalobi, with the participants walking on Ross Street to the voices of Ray Charles “Beautiful America”.
Protest occurs with the Trump administration followers policies to increase deportation and eliminate diversity programs. Texas was essential in immigration debate, as Vice President JD Vance recently visited the borders of the United States and Mexico in Eagle Pass. During his visit, Vans asked immigrants without legal documents to inform them of their return to their countries of origin.
Vans’s border visit included a round table with Governor Greg Abbott and Prosecutor Ken Buckston, where Abbott confirmed Texas’s support for the immigration approach to administration. Abbott directed state agencies to help federal officers arrest illegal immigrants and helped build additional border barriers.
The diverse crowd ranged from children in children’s vehicles to the elderly on the two seat chairs, with politicians, including Senator Royce West and the American deputy in Green joins the organizers of Mars on the front.

What people say
According to a statement issued by “Mega Marcha”: “We are going because we believe in the American ideals engraved on the statue of freedom – that America is a country of immigrants, and like many of us, as well as from the first indigenous Americans. We believe that all men and women were created equally, with freedom and justice for all.”
What happens after that
With the conclusion of the protest in the Dallas City Hall, the organizers and participants hope to maintain political momentum and continue to defend immigration reform.
