Geneva: Iran depends on electronic monitoring and the public to inform women of their refusal to wear the mandatory veil in public places.
The results of the independent international task of fact -finding in the Islamic Republic of Iran come after it decided last year that the theocraticism in the country was responsible for the “physical violence” that led to the death of Mahasa Amini.
In the report, UN investigators have identified how Iran is increasingly dependent on electronic monitoring. Among the efforts is the Iranian officials who spread “air -aircraft monitoring” to monitor women in public places. At Amirkabir University in Tehran, the authorities have published facial recognition cameras and programs to find out who did not wear the veil. It is also believed that Iran’s main road surveillance cameras are involved in the search for discovered women.
The “Nazer” mobile application of the Iranian police allows the public to report exposed women.
