Duke of Sussex announced his resignation as a sponsor of Sentebale, a British charity based in Lesoto, who participated in its founding, after a class between the trustees and the chairman of its board of directors.
Prince Harry said that he stepped on the side of the co -founder and his colleague, the sponsor, Prince Ciso, from Lesoto and the Sinbial Board of Trustees after the relationship between the chair, Dr. Sophie Chandoca, and the secretaries of “collapsed beyond reform”, and sued the charity after she asked for that resignation.
Dr. Shandoca reported the charitable institution of the UK Charitable Committee. She said that she “exploded the whistle” about “abuse of power” and “harassment”, and said that her work was “in an effort to integrate the organization.
The charitable committee says it is “familiar with concerns about the governance” and looks at it.
Sentebale was founded by Prince Harry and PRINCE Seeiso in 2006 with a focus on treating the effects of HIV and AIDS on young people in the Southern African nations in Lesoto and Botswana.
In a joint statement, the princes said: “With heavy hearts, we resigned from our roles as the organization of the organization until further notice, in support and solidarity with the Board of Trustees who had to do the same.
It is destroyed that the relationship between the charitable association and the chairman has collapsed beyond the reform, which creates an irreplaceable situation.
“These trustees have acted in the interest of the Charitable Society in demanding the chair to step down, with the welfare of the employees in mind. In turn, a lawsuit was filed against the charity to stay in this volunteer position, which confirms more broken relationship.”
They added that “they share all our fears with the charity about how this happens.”
Former trustees, Timothy Boucher, Mark Dyer, Odre, Kgusidenzi, Dr. Keello Lerotholi, Damian West, described their decision as “nothing less than destroyed” for all of them.
They said that they lost confidence and confidence in the president, but its legal procedures mean that they have no other choice but to resign in the “charitable institution interest”, as he could not bear the “legal and financial burden.”
“This was not a choice of good mind. Rather, there was something we felt in order to take care of the charity.”
Dr. Shandoca said that her work in Sinbiel was “guided by the principles of fairness and fair treatment for all, regardless of the social situation or financial means.”
She added: “There are people in this world who behave as if they were above the law and abuse people, then play the victim’s card and use the press that they visit to harm people who are courageous to challenge their behavior.”
She said that “the story of a woman dared to bomb a whistle on issues of bad ruling, weak executive management, abuse of power, bullying, harassment, hate, and narrow power – and the cover -up that followed.”
The charitable organization itself said that it “did not receive resignations from a shepherd”, but confirmed the “restructuring” of the Board of Directors on Tuesday to bring more experts “with capabilities and networks to accelerate the agenda of the Sentebale”.
She said that she announced plans last April to move from being a development organization that deals with the impact of HIV and AIDS on children and youth in Lesoto and Botswana to “those that deal with issues of youth health, wealth and climate flexibility in South Africa.”
The charity added: “Returning the council’s calibration is part of the agenda of the ambitious transformation of Sentebale.”
The charitable committee said that it is “familiar with concerns” on the governance of Sentebale, adding: “We are evaluating issues to determine the appropriate organizational steps.”
