On Tuesday, many of us woke up to the terrible news that collapsed the ceasefire. The same ceasefire that enabled my return. Yesterday was my 32nd birthday – I spent the thirty -first of me in captivity. I just have one desire on my birthday: that all my brothers and sisters return to the house of families. I was lucky enough to release him two months ago, but other hostages are still there, suffering, torture. It has passed 530 days, which is very much. The deal can only bring them home – we need an agreement now.
I was born in Kibbutz KFAR AZA, a small community where everyone knows each other. It is a place where neighbors become a family. On October 7, 2023, that family was crashed when I was finished under fire from the bottom of my bed and wounded to Gaza. For 471 days, you are in the underground tunnels, and it was a very deep shock that is fully irreversible or expressed.
When I was finally released, just one day before President Trump’s inauguration, she went out of darkness to light. I am alive today because of the tireless efforts of many, and greatly because of President Trump’s commitment to bring the hostages home. For this, I am grateful forever.
Recently, I had a deep significant opportunity to meet President Trump. I listened with interest when I shared my story and emphasized the decisive importance to bring all the hostages at home. During our meeting, I specifically told him about Ghali and Zif Berman, the last hostage of Kafr Aza – my former neighbors who remain in captivity.

Gali lived directly from me, and he was false on the way. We lived in what was called the “young generation” neighborhood in Kibbutz – a small garden on which Benglal lined up where 37 of us lived in the twenties and thirties of life.
The story of the generation of a young man, Kafr Aza, tells the devastating story on October 7. Of the 37 of the population, 11 were killed and seven were explained on that day. Today, after more than 520 days, Twins Gali and ZIV are 27 years old are the only ones who are still in captivity. In Kibbutz, proximity generates a special type of bond. You do not need to be the closest friend of someone to feel responsible for them – he is part of your community, and it is part of your extended family.
When I share my story, it is very difficult. The weight of those 470 days presses each word. However, I am talking because I understand the urgent necessity to convey what life is in captivity. I know closely, what lasts is Ghali, Zif, and the hostage 57 others who are still in Gaza at every moment every day. Each hour is the amplification of their suffering.
I cannot forget those I left behind. I carry their faces and their names and know their pain with me constantly. While I am walking for free, they remain in the tunnels in which they were held – the places of darkness, fear and despair that most people cannot start understanding.
When I met President Trump, I was not alone – I was there with five other hostages recently released. Together, we flew to the capital, leaving behind our families, which we were yearning for several days of forced separation. Some of us were only one week of Hamas tunnels, but we understood the importance of going and telling our stories and stories of those who left behind.

President Trump, who has made us kindness during our depth meeting: Thank you for listening, understanding and committing to us and for all other hostages who are still there. Your administration has already shown its intention to bring many of us home. I ask you to use your great impact and your saying to secure the release of all the remaining hostages – whether they are living, who must return to start the complex rehabilitation process; The deceased, whose bodies must return to their families for the appropriate burial according to our traditions.
The remaining 59 hostages represent 59 families besieged in an endless nightmare, and 59 families with huge injuries that cannot be heal until their loved ones return. These are the people who were violently transported from their homes, their workplaces, a music festival, or while defending their country. Among them are fathers waiting impatiently for their young children to see them again, the youth whose future was placed in an unlimited grip and the soldiers who answered the invitation of duty on October 7.

As a person who came out of this hell, I bear witness to his reality and lengthen those who have the ability to act. President Trump showed that progress is possible. Now we need to end what he started to release and bring everyone home – Gali, ZIV and all others.
I have survived. I went home. Now I am fighting for those who cannot fight for themselves, for my family members in Kibbutz who are still detained in Gaza, for all the hostages who are still trapped in those tunnels, which deals with hunger and abuse. We cannot rest until every hostage returns to the house. The day will be the day when my freedom will really be the day when all the 59 hostages return.
