The Palestinian Academy Award winner was attacked by the Israeli settlers, says activists who witnessed the event, before being detained by the Israeli army.
Activists said that Hamdan Balla, who participated in the removal of any other land, had his home in the West Bank occupied by the Israeli surrounded by settlers during the Monday attack.
The coach, Yoval Abraham, said that Mr. Palal was beaten by the settlers, then the soldiers took them while they were in an ambulance. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said that no Palestinian had been detained from an ambulance. Mr. Abraham said on Tuesday afternoon that Mr. Bali was released.
The Israeli Defense Army said that three Palestinians and Israelis were detained on suspicion of “rock slander” in the security forces.
Earlier, an activist at the scene told the BBC that the three detained Palestinians, including Mr. Bali, were injured in the settlers’ attack and were detained at an Israeli police station in the West Bank.
The activist said they were suspected of throwing stones and wounding a young home sponsor and were interrogated.
The attack began at approximately 18:00 (16:00 GMT) on Monday, when about ten convincing settlers launched an attack in the village of Sosia.
The five said that they went to the village to document the accident and were attacked by themselves, as the settlers destroyed the windows of their cars, punching them and hitting them with sticks.
It was reported that it is surrounded by the house of Mr. Ballal.
Joal Ibrahim, the Israeli director who won the Academy Award this month alongside Mr. Bali, said that people were injured and destroyed by real estate in the attack.
The activist, who spoke to the BBC, said they complained of Israeli soldiers that they were being attacked.
They said that the army had initially witnessed the attack, and then only approached the end of the car’s attack.
The activist said that the soldiers then refused to follow the settlers, leaving them free to attack homes on the other side of the hill.
The Israeli Defense Army confirmed that the soldiers and the police arrived to disperse the confrontation.
They said that the rocks were “thrown” in the security forces.
The Israeli Defense Army said: “In response, the forces arrested three Palestinians suspected of throwing rocks on them, as well as an Israeli civilian involved in the violent confrontation.”
“The detainees were taken to further interrogation by the Israeli police. An Israeli citizen was injured in the accident and was evacuated for medical treatment.”
There is no other land – Which chose the best documentary at the Oscars 97 – It follows the battle on Massifer Yata, a society with about 20 villages, and friendship between Adra and Ibrahim.
Israel has occupied the West Bank since 1967. Israeli settlements in the region are illegal under international law, although Israel opposes this.
They have expanded over the past 55 years, to become a pivotal point of violence and conflicting demands around the Earth.
Since the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas war in 2023, settlers’ violence against Palestinian civilians in the West Bank has risen.
