A victim or a criminal? Le Pen’s call can provide Trump’s shock to France

Even before the sentence was delivered, Victor Orban published “Je Suis Marine” in a solidarity show, and the Kremlin weighing his own condemnation, describing the ruling as “a violation of democratic rules.” Donald Trump described the decision as a “very big deal.”

Le Pen is now an international symbol of the extreme right, a martyr in the eyes of those who see the global political system equipped against them.

Her French party called for the streets this weekend against the referee, saying, “The French must anger.”

Even some on the other side of the political spectrum, such as former Greek Finance Minister Yannis Varovakis, described the situation as “universities”.

“Lawfare is a mistake who targets,” posted on social media. “The nerve fascism in France will not benefit only from this, just as Maga Lot did. The Foundation full of panic throughout the West dives into a holistic hole.”

For Le Pen, this condemnation can be the end or the beginning. The collapse of her personal political life – or, as we saw with other populist personalities, can enhance a more dangerous and radical transformation of the national gathering into something more extreme.

Her extremist brand, her anti-immigrant speech, and her flirtations with “Frexit”-made her a British-style exit from the European Union-a polarized character. Its rise in French politics is a sign of the deep discontent that it entrenched in France and abroad. The European project, in its current form, is under the siege of the nationalists like it, who want to decline in Brussels, re -control the border, and bring a more difficult feature of French policy.

If its legal problems become the central point in the hard right grievances, the foundations of French democracy may be in danger.

If she cannot veto her at appeal, Le Pen will also find another fight on her hands – which indicates who will take her place as a presidential candidate for the National Rally. Jordan Barleh, her 29 -year -old president. It is a spot and attractive and can keep it in front of the media. But it lacks the Le Pen’s experience – decisively – its ability to avoid the wider voters.

Despite all the talk about the heritage of the family, it is her sister’s daughter, Marion Marishhal, who could pose a serious challenge for Bardia. A fiery figure on the right, Marchehal has distanced from her most moderate aunt’s speech. If the National Assembly decides to move forward in a more extreme approach, the internal partisan conflict may be just like the broader political scene.

By excluding Le Pen from the presidential race, the court handed it a tremendous gift. Like Donald Trump in the United States, she can put herself as a victim of an elite conspiracy. The message to its supporters will be clear: the institution will not stop at anything to prevent it from seizing power.

French President Emmanuel Macron has already struggled with a minority government, and with the Le Pen party bearing the largest bloc in Parliament, it is in a strong position to stir the bowl, making the already fragile political scene in France.

Voters, with disappointment, may find hungry for change and increasingly disappointment from the institution, that it is difficult to resist the call to the LE PEN alarm, even from the side lines.

Le Pen may not be outside the race yet – but if it is, it will not be the end of its effect. The shadow of its battle will wave greatly during the 2027 elections.
